What is the Enzyme Therapy treatment?

In a nutshell, Enzyme Therapy is a powerful, change producing treatment that is customized and focused specifically for your goals and skin conditions. Under the Enzyme Therapy umbrella, there are many targeted treatments and programs for all skin conditions. This isn’t a treatment that's the same each time, in fact, it’s typical to not have the same treatment twice in a row. It is about customization and results-driven treatments through various exfoliants, enzyme masks, and treatment products. Customization is key because no two conditions are the same.

The star of the treatment is the enzyme mask. The mask which consists of transfer-messenger enzymes, is applied to the face, neck and decollete and remains on the skin for 45 minutes, it conditions and activates the deep layers of your skin and works with your body’s natural chemistry to re-educate the skin.

Thinking of your skin as a “factory”, what you see on the outside is a direct result of what the "factory" is producing. Enzyme Therapy helps to correct imbalances in the skin and change what the "factory" is producing, restoring skin to function optimally and create real changes in your skin.

What does it do?

-
Removes excess dead cell build-up. This is a big contributor to how the skin looks, feels, and is able to function. This is key to successfully changing and improving the quality of your skin.
-
Builds up the skin. The enzyme mask penetrates below the skin's surface to rebuild structural integrity and revitalize the skin at a cellular level. After the enzyme mask is applied, it will harden significantly and create a pulling and pulsating effect. These are the enzymes hard at work creating reverse osmosis, a backflushing process that forces fluid through the membranes around the cells flushing out impurities, toxins, and free radicals. Cells are encouraged to function and stay healthier longer to produce younger, well-functioning skin.
-
Brings fresh, oxygenated blood flow to your skin through circulation to produce better functioning tissue and to supremely nourish the skin.
-
Removes toxins, debris, and fluids from the skin, and provides lymphatic drainage.
-
Increases free water levels in the skin
-
Stimulates collagen & elastin production.

How often should I get Enzyme Therapy?

While this is an excellent treatment, this is not a one-time type of treatment. Amazing results are yielded from commitment. A treatment plan will be discussed at your first Enzyme Therapy appointment and depending on your skin’s condition can range from monthly treatments to a bi-weekly series of 6-12 treatments, followed by monthly maintenance. Series are recommended to provide the very best results.

A commitment to at home DMK skincare products is also a must (we can work with your budget). At home skin products will not only help to maintain your results, but they work together with treatments to produce the very best results. Circling back to enzyme therapy being like personal training...the treatments are like your workouts, but the daily use of home products are your healthy diet. They work hand in hand.
What can I expect after the Treatment?

After the treatment, your skin can appear pink, red, or blotchy. This is typical after the mask is removed and will quickly disappear within 20-30 minutes. This is completely normal and is the result of the blood flow circulation initiated by the mask which was bringing oxygenated blood and nutrients to the skin, bringing it to a healthy, balanced state.

Please note that sensitivity, redness, or dryness can be experienced after your first enzyme treatment. This is not typical in most cases, but can be experienced and typically subside in 24-48 hours.

Can I get this treatment if I get Botox or Fillers?

Yes, but you will need to wait TWO WEEKS after having any injectables (botox, restylane, juvederm, etc.) before you can receive an enzyme therapy treatment. It is suggested to get your facial treatments performed before your botox or filler appointment.
